Will the Onkyo HT-S6100 HTIB when hooked up w/ a PS3 through HDMI deliver 7.1 HD Surround Sound? - onkyo ht-s6100

I have a PS3 and are looking at the Onkyo HT-S6100 HTIB. I get a little confused about the requirements, the true HD audio in 7.1 format for the PS3. If the receiver decoding and playback of 7.1 surround sound on Blu-rays and games?

The PS3 will decode Dolby True HD and transfer the multi-channel audio as PCM to the receiver.
The PS3 will not pass TrueHD-May to the receiver on the bit stream at the moment.

will receive the 7.1-receptor, but only if their support is. only know the things that I have 7.1 in my PS3 games now with a similar configuration. An example is the resistance 2

The response to ER is correct, can do as long as the media. Make sure that, without loss of Blu Rays are 7.1 audio tracks. The one I can think now is Hellboy II Take a look at the back of the box and Blu Ray will appear when at 5.1, 7.1 (almost 6.1) audio. Make sure that you are following a multi-channel PCM, Dolby True HD and DTS-HD Master Audio, the magic words, if lossless audio.
